BOSU™
Stability and strength exercises will be incorporated into this fun and
challenging class using the BOSU half ball. Exercises will be based
on Yoga and Pilates movements. You can expect a cardiovascular workout.
Working on the BOSU effectively conditions ankles, legs, core and upper
body.
Boxing Basics
This 60 minute workout taught by Will Carmichael, a certified personal trainer
with over six years of boxing and martial arts teaching instruction,
offers offensive and defensive drills, mitt work, bag work and jump rope.
Learn the “ins and outs” of boxing while burning fat, reducing stress,
toning muscle and getting into the best shape of your life. Sparring is optional.
The class is being offered in 4-week sessions, meeting once per week.
Circuit Contact Kickboxing
If you’re looking for a way to increase
confidence, perseverance, and sculpt your body, Circuit Contact Kickboxing
is for you. This 60 minute class taught by Will Carmichael, a trainer
with 16 years of martial arts experience and a former lightweight Shanshou
(Chinese kickboxing) champion, is not your typical kickboxing class.
Taught in a circuit format, this class will consist of kickboxing combinations
using high and low kicking and punching concepts, and will cover self-defense
techniques using knees and elbows, with an emphasis on cardio conditioning
and body sculpting exercises. Class size is limited to a maximum of 8
participants and pre-registration is required.
Core Conditioning
This core based class integrates breath and body techniques from Forrest Yoga,
effectively combining core strength and body sculpting to create a strong and
healthy body. Expect breath, abdominal, hip, glutes, and back work and extensions.
Gyrotonics®
Gyrotonic® incorporates movement principles from yoga, dance, gymnastics,
swimming, and Tai–chi. This unique system elongates the musculature
and shapes the body, strengthens and tones the abdominal muscles, articulates
the spine, develops greater mobility in the joints, improves balance,
coordination and neuromuscular control, and increases stamina with minimal
impact to the joints.
Pilates
This is a method of exercise and movement developed by Joseph Pilates
which is designed to lengthen, strengthen, stabilize, and tone the
whole body. Pilates focuses on creating strength of the abdomen, back,
and improves posture, flexibility, and improving overall well- being.
Soulistic offers private, semi-private, and group reformer sessions,
as well as group mat classes.
Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga - the Primary Series
The first or primary series realigns the spine, detoxifies the body, and builds strength,
flexibility and stamina. The series begins with sun salutations and moves on to standing poses,
seated poses, inversions and backbends before relaxation. This class focuses on building
the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga with its unique breathing techniques and linking movements.
Children’s Yoga
This class is designed for children ages 3-6. It will incorporate the
use of yoga asanas (postures) and breath to bring harmony and balance
into the younger beings development. This is a great starter yoga class
for kids.
Hatha Yoga
Balances the elements of sun and moon; the sun being “active” energy
and moon being “passive” energy. This practice is an integration
of different styles of yoga and is recommended for all levels.
Mom/Dad & Me Yoga
This class will explore the traditional benefits of Hatha Yoga in conjunction
with creating a nurturing environment for you to bond with your baby
or toddler. Classes are offered for 2 age groups; infants to 1 year
olds and toddlers ages 2 to 5. Instruction will focus on strengthening
the abs, pelvic floor, hips and buttocks, and will include some flow-based
Yoga. A fun way to practice Yoga while meeting other parents in the neighborhood.
Mysore Yoga
Mysore is Ashtanga Yoga as it is taught at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute
in Mysore, India. The teacher works with students in accordance with the ability and
experience level of each, individually, offering verbal cues and hands-on adjustments.
Prenatal Hatha Yoga
This is a safe and gentle approach for women in all trimesters of pregnancy
to practice Yoga. This class focuses on body alignment, basic breathing
techniques, posture, and form, while achieving familiarity of traditional
Hatha Yoga. The class promotes concentration, flexibility, strength and
endurance while quieting the mind and preparing for labor and birth.
Props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks are often used and are provided
by our studio. Poses may be modified for each woman's individual comfort.
Universal Yoga™
Universal Yoga was created by one of the most influential masters and
professional teachers in ex – Soviet territory, Andrey Lappa.
This system unites all other systems and styles of yoga and yoga experience.
Some of the motivations of this practice include knowledge, awareness,
growing power of spirit, and freedom or ‘conscious liberation’.
Urban Yoga
An exciting hybrid of Vinyasa Flow and Chi Gong come together to form
a challenging, rigorous asana and movement sequence set against the
backdrop of Urban music forms such as: Smooth Jazz, Neo Soul, and down
tempo Hip Hop. This class is especially intended for those who are
looking for a way to have fun without compromising the technical and
energetic principals of Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga.
Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa means breath - synchronized movement. This class is a flowing
class using classical yoga poses intricately sequenced. It is focused
on building internal heat in order to purify all layers of the body.
Yogic Arts™
This style, developed by Duncan Wong, incorporates the core strength
and joint conditioning of Gung – Fu, the fluidity of Astanga
yoga, and the healing touch of Thai massage. This form includes a sequence
of classical asanas, massage adjustments, martial arts, and yogic technique.
Yogic Belly Dance
This class bridges the gap between yoga and belly dance, merging the
polarities of yoga movements with the motions and body movements of
belly dance. Belly dance relies on natural movements which gently utilize
every part of the body, and incorporates rolling, undulating, isolated
circles for shoulders, arms, wrists, neck, chest and hips. This fun
and creative class ends with deep restorative yoga poses, along with
savasana and a light meditation.
Dance
Aerobic Salsa
Learn the fundamental skills of Salsa footwork and shines in this aerobic-style
class. We will cover the music, timing and counts of Salsa while learning
dance moves you can take anywhere! Each class will culminate into fancy
footwork combinations and choreography that will get you sweating.
Please, no rubber sole shoes or high heels. Soft sole shoes such as
ballet or jazz shoes preferred, but bare feet are okay too.
Belly Dance
Learn to sway and shimmy your hips with basic belly dance technique and
routine. Instruction will alternate between veil and finger cymbal
instruction. Belly dance is a great overall body workout. Enhance strength
and flexibility while enjoying the beauty of this ancient art form.
No experience necessary. Exercise attire required. Please bring hip
scarf if you have one.
Capoeira
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art which originated in the 1800s.
Slaves disguised this form of self defense in the charade of a dance.
It is a very physical art form which incorporates instruments, singing,
dancing, and fighting. Capoeira is a cultural experience which embodies
all of these elements in a unique spiritual and physical space.
Children and Teen Dance
Dance movement classes that will teach children and teenagers how to
move and express themselves creatively. Classes will introduce movement
vocabulary on which to build and expand their movements. Teen Dance Fusion
will focus on culturally diverse dance forms including Hip Hop, Belly
Dance, Salsa, and Latin dance forms, African, Caribbean, Modern dance
and more!
Hip Hop
This energetic class integrates street dancing and rhythmic movements
in an add-on choreography format. Natural movements and expressive
dance steps are emphasized allowing participants to learn dances quickly
while adding a touch of personal flair.
Latin Dance Styles
This introductory class will cover the basic steps of Cha Cha Cha, Samba,
Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. No experience necessary. Please no rubber
sole shoes or high heels. Soft sole shoes such as ballet or jazz shoes
preferred, but bare feet are okay too.
West African Dance
This is a fun and invigorating class taught to live drums. Idy Ciss,
principle dancer and choreographer for Muntu Dance Company, learned
this dance style on the West African Coast of Senegal. No experience
necessary.

Massage Treatments
Clinical Massage
Clinical Massage specializes in musculoskeletal pathologies. You may
create a customized treatment plan based on past injuries or chronic
pain within the context of a relaxation massage.
Customized Therapeutic Massage
Combines deep tissue, trigger point therapy, stretching, and sport massage.
Prenatal Massage
Massage for the expectant mother is bodywork specifically designed for women who are experiencing
the physical discomfort and emotional challenges that present themselves during the months of pregnancy.
Prenatal Massage promotes well being for both baby and mother., Working with the client in either
semi-reclining or side-lying position (after the first trimester), this massage is designed to nurture
and relax an expectant mother's changing body., Prenatal Massage utilizes relaxing massage strokes that
will improve circulation, increase energy and bring soothing stress relief.
Energy Massage
This massage can incorporate a wide range of modalities to best serve the individual clients needs. These may
include Swedish, Deep Tissue, or Sports Massage, Reiki, or other forms of energy healing, meditation,
visualization, breathe work, and spiritual counseling.
Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the concept that every part of the body is aligned
in pathways/zones that end in specific points on the feet and hands.
By applying precise and steady pressure over these reflex areas, the
reflexologist bolsters the body’s immunity. An excellent antidote
to stress-related conditions, reflexology relaxes the body, releases
energy and restores balance. Services are available in 50-minute full
and 30-minute introductory sessions. The full session works both feet
and hands completely to restore balance, promote ease of movement,
boost organ functioning and provide profound relaxation. The introductory
session eases stress and the daily buildup of restrictions on smooth
body functioning.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is perfect for individuals who lead an athletic lifestyle.
This massage will focus on chronic areas of tightness to restore flexibility
and mobility to muscles and/or joints.
Swedish Massage
This massage technique uses light to moderate pressure. It is good for
flexibility, circulation, and overall relaxation.
Thai Yoga Therapy
Thai Yoga therapy incorporates acupressure, energy meridian work, and Yoga based
stretches. The client will lie on a massage mat fully clothed. This work is
intended to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
Therapeutic (Deep Tissue) Massage
This type of massage uses deeper pressure to target specific points of
tension in muscles and joints.

Sarah will clairvoyantly read the energy of your vibrational space determining

Abhyanga Shirodhara
This is perhaps one of the most profound and blissful Ayurvedic treatments used to stabilize the mind and calm the nervous system. A warm stream of medicated oil is poured continuously over the Ajna Chakra, or third eye, to induce an inner journey.
Abhyanga Pinda Sveda
A sedating massage using grains, medicinal herbs and oils wrapped in soft cloth boluses. The boluses induce sweating detoxification, and clear the pores so the medicinal properties of the herbs can penetrate the skin.
Chakra Massage
Full body oil massage with Marma point (energetic points) and Chakra anointment and aromatherapy treatment. When massaged, they can enhance balance to the corresponding organs and regions in the body.
Ananda Shirodhara
A scalp massage improves circulation and induces relaxation, followed by warm herbal oil rhythmically poured onto the forehead to sedate the nervous system. Next, a warm, herbal-oil massage aids detoxification. The treatment concludes with a steam bath, and dosha herbal tea.
Abhyanga Lepa
Following a steam and blissful massage, an aromatic medicinal pack made of clay, herbs and oil is applied to reduce aches and draw toxins out of the body
Ubvartan
An aromatic blend of medicinal herbs and oils are vigorously massaged into the body to break up Kapha imbalances such as lethargy, decreased circulation, body fat, and swelling.
Abhyanga Basti
A full body massage followed by an ancient treatment using damns built on the body and filled with medicated oils and herbs

Panchakarma
